Rising Chef Flynn McGarry’s Everyday Essentials

The culinary prodigy shares the things he relies on in and out of the kitchen.

February 13, 2026

AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 13, Flynn McGarry had already begun his culinary career by hosting supper clubs in his parents’ Los Angeles home. By 19, he had managed to open his own New York restaurant, Gem, which quickly gained a cult following and a reputation as one of the city’s hardest reservations to secure. Now, McGarry is making culinary magic yet again at Cove, his new venture in SoHo, with an interior as beautiful as the food is delicious.
