Get Inspired by Land of Belle Founder Annabelle Moehlmann’s Spring Moodboard

The New York tastemaker is ready for the return of entertaining.

March 25, 2022

As the proprietor behind Land of Belle, a buzzy online destination for exclusive tableware and decor, Annabelle Moehlmann knows a thing or two about spotting what’s next. We caught up with the lifelong New Yorker (and FREDERIC contributing editor) to find out what’s on her radar right now.

After a long winter—both literally and metaphorically—Annabelle Moehlmann, the founder of lifestyle destination Land of Belle (and its junior counter-part, Land of Bébé), is embracing a spring-forward mentality. “A renewed love and appreciation for where we live has been a silver lining of the past two years, and now, I’m so excited for everyone to be welcoming each other back into their homes,” she says. “We’re all ready to turn the page!”

Red Hot

“I’m finding myself gravitating towards red accessories in modern-yet-timeless, no-fuss shapes. I think they’re the perfect way to shake up neutral outfits and give new life to the pastels in our spring wardrobes.”

Elegance Made Easy

“Spaghetti al caviale is my favorite dish to whip up for a cozy dinner party with a dash of decadence. The recipe is so simple: Cook a box of spaghetti, add a few tablespoons of melted butter, a squeeze of lemon, salt and pepper, mix in some of caviar—I get mine from Pointy Snout or Portage Foods—and top with a spoonful more. Buon appetito!”

Mixed Greens

“I love the idea of combining various shades of green in a room—leafy greens, jade, seafoam, moss and chartreuse—like Rose Uniacke does here in her book, Rose Uniacke at Home. It’s a fresh look and palate cleanser for the eyes. Lately, I’ve been moving more towards serene and textural solids.”

Straight Lines

“I’m in love with a super wide stripe on curtains, sofas or chairs, like this one ASH NYC designer Will Cooper used in his apartment. It adds character and flair without overpowering a room. Bold, fresh and timeless!”

“Entertaining is back—I say dress up for dinner or set a beautiful table, even if you don’t cook! Our new scalloped Faïence dinnerware is perfect for spring, and colored glassware is a must—no table is complete without it.”
